The 2018 World champion met success again at the Tashkent Grand-Prix (September 20-22). Guram Tushishvili (+100 kg) won in the final against Uzbekistan’s Oltiboev, supported by a hot public. In -90 kg, Khusen Khalmurzaev was not far from success but lost in the final against Sweden’s Nyman. Belgium’s Sami Chouchi (-81 kg) takes a nice 3rd place.

If he has not yet digested his loss at the Tokyo World championships, Georgia’s Guram Tushishvili, 2018 World champion (+100 kg), heals his illness with victory. As last year, he won again in Tashkent. In the final, in front of a crazy assistance supporting his opponent, Uzbekistan’s Oltiboev, he did once more great. He made a full rotation to launch Sasae-tsuri-komi-ashi and get an Ippon synonymous of victory.

In -90 kg, Khusen Khalmurzaev almost imitated his Caucasian neighbor. But the Russian stumbled on Sweden’s Nyman in the final, trapped in the Golden score on Osae komi.

Meanwhile, Belgium’s Sami Chouchi (-81 kg) regained the podium with a bronze medal won at the expense of Russia’s Azizov in a tough and close fight
