If he has not yet digested his loss at the Tokyo World championships, Georgia’s Guram Tushishvili, 2018 World champion (+100 kg), heals his illness with victory. As last year, he won again in Tashkent. In the final, in front of a crazy assistance supporting his opponent, Uzbekistan’s Oltiboev, he did once more great. He made a full rotation to launch Sasae-tsuri-komi-ashi and get an Ippon synonymous of victory.
In -90 kg, Khusen Khalmurzaev almost imitated his Caucasian neighbor. But the Russian stumbled on Sweden’s Nyman in the final, trapped in the Golden score on Osae komi.
Meanwhile, Belgium’s Sami Chouchi (-81 kg) regained the podium with a bronze medal won at the expense of Russia’s Azizov in a tough and close fight
